Airflo Classic This Saturday

The Airflo Classic is being held this Saturday, 25th April. The fishery will be closed for bank fishing but the boats will be going out as normal.

Robert Sneddon will represent Crosswood in the Troutmasters final held at Grafham on the 18th May.

2009 Macmillan Fly Fishing Competition

April 9th, 2009

The Big Fish 2009 Macmillan Cancer Support’s Fly Fishing Competition supported by Glasgow Angling Centre takes place on the 13th June.

Entry to the competition requires anglers raising a minimum of £50 in donations.

There will be no fishing fees payable on the day. Fishing will take place from the bank and boats.

Prizes-

- 4 tagged fish to the values of £500, £300, £200 and a booby prize.

- The Paul Young Trophy : awarded to the angler who brings the highest donations on the day – Engraved trophy plus a Double Wooden Fly Box.

- Heaviest Fish – £30 voucher

- Heaviest Bag (not including the heaviest fish) – £30 voucher.

A raffle will also take place for various prizes with all proceeds going to Macmillan.

RACING KARTS in Livingston have kindly donated two 30 lap vouchers.

£3087.60 was raised in 2008.

Fishery Open Now – 2009

The Fishery is now open for the new season with fish up to 10lb 4oz being landed. Check the Latest Reports.

Tickets will be issued from the old cabin until the new lodge is ready.

Some nice brown trout are beginning to show up in the returns.

D. Robertson had one at 5lb+ along with 7 rainbows up to 6lb 8oz.

B. Tomlin also caught a lovely brown weighing over 4lbs.

Two Lomond Boats

The fishery will be taking delivery of two 15ft Lomond Boats in March taking the fleet up to eight for the coming season, six 15ft Lomond boats and two 15ft Coulam boats.

Final Airflo Classic

The final of the Airflo Classic will be held this weekend (11/12 October) at Elinor Fishery.

Five anglers that qualified from Crosswood will take part on Saturday 11th in the individual final, and the following day will see the three man team represent Crosswood in the team final.

14lbs Rainbow
