Macmillan Big Fish 2010

The charity competition took place on Saturday 12th June. The thirteen anglers that took part caught 47 rainbows, 3 brownies and 1 tiger trout. First to weigh in was John Johnstone and was quickly followed by David Robertson, Steven Dalgleish and Wayne Cram. No tagged fish were caught during the competition, but two have been landed since, one on Saturday eve session and one on Monday 14th June. A total of £2030.50 was raised for the charity.

The fishery will be closed this Saturday, 12th June as we are hosting the Macmillan Cancer Big Fish charity competition.

The Airflo Classic takes place this Saturday. Anglers can still register for the singles and three man team event by phoning the fishery.

Fishery re-opens Sunday 4th April

The road up to the fishery has been cleared and the fishery will re-open for business on Sunday 4th April.

Due to the adverse weather conditions access to the fishery cannot be gained at present. Anglers that had planned to pay a visit over the Easter break should contact the fishery first before travelling.

Airflo Classic 2010

The individual event has been put back to Saturday 24th April. The three man team competition takes place the same day. Entry to the competition costs £17.50 with anglers receiving an Airflo fast intermediate fly line. Anglers can enter on the day of the event at a reduced cost of £10.00 but will not receive the fly line. Entry fees are used to cover management costs and prizes.

Ice free

March 18th, 2010

The reservoir is now ice free and the level has risen nicely after being one metre down all winter. Preparations are now well under way for the beginning of the season. Opening day is still Saturday 27th March.
