Opening Weekend
March 20th, 2011Crosswood opened for the new season on Saturday March 19th and despite the chilly winds anglers took limit bags fishing lures on floaters right through to fast sinkers.
The top areas were the far side of the tower and over towards the peat bank casting in towards the margins.
The following day saw boats head over to the peat bank but the wind proved to strong for this area and the best of the catches were made from the lodge bank, again mostly on lures.

Preparations for new season
March 3rd, 2011Preparations for the new season are now well under way. Boats that had minor scratches have all been fibreglassed over and are in the process of being painted. The weather has been kind to us this week and hopefully lasts in to the weekend at least.
We hope to have a bridge over the burn constructed in the next few months so bank anglers can access the south shore more easier.
Season tickets are now back from the printers and are available now.
There is a catch and release competition on Sunday 20th March, to enter contact the fishery.
A few boats are still available for opening day on 19th March which can be booked by phoning 079177 94963.
Tight lines for 2011.
