Monday 10th August 2009 saw the capture of the biggest wild Brown Trout ever from Crosswood. The fish which was carefully weighed before its release, came in at 12lb 8oz and was caught by David Robertson boat fishing using a claret hopper.
David also caught another two five pound browns and rainbows at 7lb and 8lb 10oz.
There were good numbers of browns in the four to five pound bracket showing on the surface coming up for the heather fly.
Mr Jolly fishing the evening session also hooked a large brown from the same area but unfortunately lost it.
